Filed Under (From Mr. Lund) by Daniel Lund on 27-11-2009 and tagged , , ,

You’ve just spent countless hours working in the kitchen to prepare your Thanksgiving Day feast!  You’ve used many items to help you mash the potatoes, slice the turkey, and fluff the yummy pink stuff!  So……….

List the utensils you can’t do without in the kitchen.

Some people are crazy for tongs. Others are spatula fanatics – you?

I am crazy for tongs too. I like the tongs because they can help you not get burned by trying to do something without protection. They help you with food and trying to get ice! We have 2 or 3 types of tongs. They are very helpful in the kitchen!!

Although I didn’t have to host a big Thanksgiving feast at my house this year, I do have some favorite utensils that NO kitchen should be without. :) I love my wooden salad fingers that I use not only for salad, but also for most types of pasta. They kind of look like wooden hands with four fingers. They work just like your hands would work if you used them to toss a salad or a bowl of pasta. They’re a great conversation starter too. Another utensil I use a lot is a gravy ladle that used to be my grandma’s. Every time I use it, it makes me think of dinner at her house. It has a lot of uses other than just for gravy too.
    Happy Cooking and Eating! :)

Those sound like great utensils Mrs.Cox! I also really love the wooden salad fingers. You also have a point about how they don’t have to be used for salads but pastas and other foods you might mix together. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I sure did and had a great time! :)

I like the wooden salad fingers to. My favorite cooking utensil is whisk because I love the world and since we usually eat eggs for breakfast and I usually whisk the eggs. I can’t wait to see what other peoples favorite cooking utensil is.
