Online Geoboard

Filed Under (From Mr. Lund) by Daniel Lund on 01-12-2009 and tagged , , ,

We ended our last math unit with some AMAZING test scores!  Congrats to all the students that have focused in class, worked hard, asked clarifying questions, and studied for the test!

The students are now in the middle of a short unit on geometry – circles, angles, lines, and much much more!  In class today, we learned about triangles and quadrilaterals.  We used the ActivBoard to determine that a triangle’s interior angles measure 180 degrees and a quadrilateral’s interior angles total 360 degrees!  Ask your child about Mr. Lund’s cool trick and demonstration!

We used an online geoboard to make some of the triangles and quadrilaterals that we measured in class and determined the missing interior angles.  The link below takes you to a site that will allow you to experiement and learn!  Enjoy!  – Mr. Lund

I love the Geoboards i remember we did those boards in 4th grade. I love how you can make your own shape and have bands and see what the measurements are.
